OUR STORY

We are optimists and it’s time to build.

We founded Arondite because, despite the challenges that face the world, we are optimists.

From our military experience, we have seen up close the real and growing threats facing the West. In our time with leading technology companies, we saw that advances in autonomy pointed to impending societal change.

The growing number of sensors, robots and autonomous systems brings the promise of a better, more productive and safer world. But society cannot realise this promise without a new generation of software and AI to leverage these systems in a manner consistent with our ethical values.

We are working to achieve the vision of ethical human-machine teaming for the autonomous age. We know that an elite group of driven engineers can make a huge difference, so long as we keep our focus on worthy missions and are united in our sense of urgency.

Embracing complexity

There is a Cambrian Explosion underway in the field of robotic and autonomous systems: they are becoming more numerous and more performant. But with this proliferation comes a factorial increase in complexity. It’s difficult to connect multiple systems from diverse manufacturers and hard to deal with the massive amounts of data they generate in a way that enables organisations to learn over time.

We founded Arondite to address this challenge head-on, to harness the power of AI, autonomous systems and data without sacrificing the crucial principles of security, flexibility, and meaningful human control.

By tackling these challenges, we will help unlock the collective power of AI-defined, robotic systems as they transform our world and ensure the future we build places our ethics at the heart of the autonomous age.

Hard work worth doing

If you join us it will be on you to help build our culture as much is it's on us. Here are some of our core beliefs:

  • Low-ego, anti-hierarchy: We obsess over impact, not ladders. We hire exceptional engineers who are low ego, unusually committed and who put the mission first.
  • Our customer’s mission is our mission: We each - personally, passionately - feel ownership over driving real-world wins for our customers.
  • Think critically, build fast: Before we commit, we take the time to think critically. Then we build, gain feedback and iterate - fast.
  • Outcomes over process: Less structure, more autonomy and high trust lead to a lot better outcomes when you hire outstanding people.

At the core of our culture is our belief that the best people seek hard work worth doing, the autonomy to pursue that work and a supportive, inclusive environment that minimises friction.
